Our Mission:
Perform 4 Purpose (P4P) provides local youth opportunities to learn, create, and perform music. P4P provides a social environment that enables participants to experience active roles as student musicians, friends, and mentors. P4P also teaches the importance of helping others and giving back to the community by performing live music events for local charities.
What We Do:
Perform 4 Purpose is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization comprised of seven student-driven programs: fundraising events, music mentor clubs, community workshops, live performance workshops, summer camps and one-to-one lessons. Through the fundraising events program, Perform 4 Purpose organizes several events annually that feature local performances. At these events, students perform alongside seasoned veterans within their area of interest. Through the music mentor clubs, community workshops, live performance workshops, and one-to-one lessons, students are able to gain knowledge in specific music disciplines. Through the summer camp program, students are provided opportunity to attend music-based summer camps. Clubs start in the 4th grade and continue through high school, giving the older students a chance to learn mentorship skills when working with younger students. Clubs range in size from 6-15 students. Every student who needs an instrument is given one they can keep or donate back if they choose to help someone new get started. Each club holds a “Purpose Event” at the end of the school year to support a charitable need of their choosing. All Perform 4 Purpose programs are offered tuition free.
